We wanted to start tonight’s post by giving a HUGE thank you to the Martin Family for hosting the 203 Summer Party on Saturday! It was such a fun night and we are so happy many of you were able to make it. And after a gross, wet, rainy, awful morning, it cleared up and there was nothing but blue skies for most of the afternoon and evening. We had a great turnout, so much fun, and great food! Thank you once again!!!! We appreciate you hosting SO much.

We also wanted to really start pushing you to sign up for two upcoming competitions. The closest one is in Newtown at CrossFit Hook’d and it’s called Hook’d2Hops. The competition is on Saturday, Sept. 8. We have had athletes do this competition the past two years and it has been a fun event with a food truck and other cool vendors. It is a competition for both scaled and RX athletes in teams of 4 (two males, two females). Search for “Hookd2Hops” on facebook and you can buy tickets and see details there.

The Battle for the Bell, down the road in Southbury at CrossFit Strongtown, will be on Saturday, Oct. 13 this year. I believe it’s the same format….scaled and RX, 2 males and 2 females per team. We have always had a strong showing at this competition and we hope for the same this year! Last year we placed top 3 in both the Big Bell (RX) and Little Bell (scaled) divisions so let’s go defend those finishes! More details about this event will be released soon and we will keep you posted.  Both these events sell out really fast…so if you are interested sign up ASAP!  We’ll have a sign up on the white board for anyone interested but doesn’t have a team.  Look to this list if you need to fill a spot!

Also a reminder if you are interested in taking the CrossFit HQ Strongman Seminar we are hosting Saturday August 25th….sign up this week!  The link can be found on crossfit.com under specialty seminars.
