It’s time for our annual Fall Nutrition Challenge! We are shaking things up a bit this time around and are excited to see how people like things.

The biggest obstacle we have encountered each time a challenge comes around are the “excuses”…excuses why people “can’t” do the challenge.  Be it weddings, a vacation, birthdays….athletes always seem to have some reason they won’t participate.

The biggest obstacle we see with athletes who decide to accept the challenge?  Getting in enough veggies!

This challenge will hopefully take care of both the athlete who has shied away in the past as well as those who don’t eat their veggies.

We have partnered with OptimizeMe Nutrition to bring you the 800g Challenge!  We gave this a try for 1 week during our last spring nutrition challenge, and had a lot of fun with it! The challenge is simple…get 800g of fruits and veggies in daily.  There are no foods that are off limits, eat and drink whatever you want, as long as you meet the 800g daily requirement.

This challenge was designed by OptimizeMe Nutrition. Eat 800 grams (g) or fruits and/or vegetables, by weight, per day.

No foods are eliminated, but only fruits and veggies count toward the 800g. Eat the fruits and veggies of your choice. Hit the macros you want.

Raw, cooked, canned, frozen; doesn’t matter!  If you can weigh it as a standalone and unprocessed fruit or vegetable, you can
count it. Yep, that’s it!

So why 800g? It’s associated with increased health and is a simplified way to hit those recommended servings of fruits and vegetables.
