The 2019 CrossFit Open is just days away! There is still time to sign up so ask us if you have any questions about anything! We guarantee you will have a good time working hard alongside everyone else at the gym.

For everyone new to the Open this year (and even you veterans), here is how week 1 will work (the first workout is called 19.1). CrossFit will release 19.1 Thursday evening at 8 pm…..and it could be anything! We will be hosting a watch party at the gym if anyone wants to stop by and see what’s in store. We can talk about strategy and how to attack the workout. AND, if anyone wants to do the workout right away, we will set up and get after it immediately after the announcement.

We host a big throwdown each week where we try to get as many people as possible together to do the workout. And we celebrate a job well done with some food and drinks after the action. The experience is ALWAYS better with more company alongside you. We will rotate between Saturday morning throwdowns and Friday Night Lights throughout the five weeks. Week 1 will be a Saturday morning throwdown.

We all have until Monday evening to get the workouts done and scores submitted to We will award points to the top 5 male and female RX and scaled scores every week.  There will also be points awarded for team spirit, PR’s, “firsts”, individual spirit of the week, best dish(food or booze) etc.  Every throw down we invite you to stick around and enjoy some beer and food with us! Each week we’ll ask an age group to bring in some food…but welcome anyone looking to earn bonus points to bring something to enjoy!  Week 1 will kick off with our Masters age 45-60+ to supply the goods!  

If you need another time to do the workouts besides Thursday evening or a Friday or Saturday spot, you will need to set that up. Each athlete needs a judge so we will coordinate specific make-up times. They will be available Friday at 10:30 am, and Monday at 10:30 am 3pm.  Friday Night Light throwdowns will begin at 6pm.  We will open doors at 5pm.  Saturday morning throw downs will begin with doors open at 8:30 am, first heat at 9:15 am.  We will continue to run our Saturday am CrossFit Kids class to keep the kiddos occupied!
