Have you ever wanted to dive more into training the Olympic lifts? Curious about what a lifting competition would look or feel like?
We are so excited to join forces with Coach Michelle Connelly to bring a mini, non-sanctioned Olympic Weightlifting competition to CrossFit 203!
This non-sanctioned Olympic Lifting competition will serve the following purposes:
- Allow athletes to take part in a real-feel competition without having to register with USAW or follow clothing requirements.
- Athletes will learn how to properly prepare for & compete in a sanctioned meet
- Attendees/ volunteers will learn what goes into hosting a meet.
Where: CrossFit 203
When: Sunday, July 28th
Weigh-ins will be held from 9:30-10 am in the club room
Lifter briefing will be at 10:30-10:45
1st lift will take place at 11:00 am
Not interested in competing? We need volunteers to help with time keeping, score cards, and plate loading!
Details: The field will be capped at 15 athletes, so registration is limited. Sign up ASAP!
Athletes, here’s what you need to know! Wear whatever you’d like, no singlets required! You’ll get three attempts at both the clean and jerk and the snatch. You must decide before the competition what weight your 3 lifts will be. You will have one minute to complete the lift. If you miss you may redo that lift, or you may go up….but you cannot go down in weight.
